Mahekal Beach Front Resort & Spa Playa del Carmen

We had a wonderful stay at this luxurious hotel. The location in the "jungle" area of the resort grounds was absolutely breathtaking. It felt like we were in a secluded paradise, surrounded by lush greenery. The fact that the hotel is right on the beach was an added bonus. The service at this place was top-notch, with staff who provided such wonderful service and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They were always in a great mood and ready to make our every request happen. The facilities were also fantastic, with a range of amenities such as a spa & wellness center, swimming pools, and live entertainment. This hotel truly provided enhanced comfort and quality services.

Prime beachfront spots with Mayan-style palapas. Friendly, attentive staff named Elisa, Boli, Gilberto, Lucia, Rogilio. Pools, beaches, and restaurants were all clean and beautiful. Good safety measures in place, including mask-wearing. Savings compared to all-inclusive options.

The hotel's location is perfect, with a stunning view of the beach, and close proximity to the shops on 5th Avenue. The rooms were always clean and the hotel offered great facilities, including tasty breakfast options and helpful staff. Transportation to the Playa airport was not a hassle.

Loved the unique stand-alone rooms with thatched roofs and beautiful landscaped grounds. the beachfront location was perfect, and the pools were stunning.

Some bars/restaurants were unexpectedly closed, and the beach had a strong seaweed smell during our visit. Although not the hotel's fault, it was still a bit bothersome.

The location of the resort is excellent, right at the beach in Playa del Carmen. Guests can easily walk to the main shopping street, and the popular Mamitas beach club is also just a short distance away. The rooms are cozy and well-maintained, with a spacious bathroom. The staff provides friendly and personalized service, getting to know guests' preferences quickly. The breakfast and lunch team at the Fuego restaurant offers great food and ensures guests feel welcome.

The condition of the beach at the resort is disappointing and it can be difficult to access the ocean.

I recently stayed at Mahekal Beach Resort for a week-long vacation. The food was delicious, especially at lunchtime. The service was excellent and there was never a wait at the restaurants. The internet connection was fantastic, even at the beach. The beach itself was stunning, with no seaweed unlike other nearby resorts. The staff was friendly and the resort was not overcrowded. The bungalows provided a comfortable and private atmosphere, while still being just steps away from the sand. The resort was well-maintained and the rooms were modern and clean with comfortable beds. a beautiful and enjoyable experience.

We had a great time during our stay at this hotel. We really enjoyed the location, as it was easy to get everywhere on foot. There were so many shops and restaurants close by, and we loved being able to explore everything on the street adjacent to the resort. The staff provided excellent service, making all of our requests happen for us. They were always in a great mood and made us feel right at home. Additionally, the amenities and services offered here were fantastic, from the indoor swimming pool and fitness centre to the on-site spa and beauty treatments.

We had an incredible time at this little gem in Playa del Carmen! The location is unbeatable, right by the water and close to the town center. The staff, especially Rogelio, Yexiani, Manuel, and Ivan. The food at Fuego restaurant was exceptional and the hotel grounds were beautiful. The rooms were cute and impeccably clean. We also loved the flexibility of the half-board option, allowing us to choose between lunch and dinner. a perfect stay for us and our kids.

The location of the hotel was great, as it was close to the center for really good restaurants in the evening. One recommended option is PRIMO, which offers great food. Another advantage of the hotel's location is that it is next to Las Olas restaurant, allowing for easy access to delicious meals. Additionally, being located right on the beach provided beautiful views and convenient access to the ocean.

One negative aspect to note is that the beach is not private, and sometimes it can get crowded with locals and people from other properties.

We stayed in a beautiful treehouse room, but were "upgraded" to a beach view room on the ground floor next to construction. Sleeping was difficult due to loud noises. The staff didn't inform us of the noise or move us to a quieter room. However, we enjoyed the pools, service, and food. we recommend this resort.

The garden view Palapa adds to the peaceful and private experience. The staff goes above and beyond, greeting you with a hand-made gift for special occasions and surprising you with treats. Breakfast is delicious with a variety of choices, including daily specials. The Fuego restaurant serves excellent food, and they make the best Mojitos. The bar offers entertainment options like pool for rainy evenings. The location is close to the action but still quiet. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. the experience at Mahekal Beach Resort is incredible, feeling like a home away from home with its beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, and unforgettable food. Highly recommended for a memorable stay.
